Opened in 1922, Princeton Baptist is the largest hospital in Baptist Health System. Today, Princeton Baptist is a full service tertiary hospital with approximately 1,500 employees providing a wide range of services including such specialties as diagnostic imaging, cancer treatment, wound care and hyperbaric medicine, cardiac services and surgery, pulmonary medicine, neurosurgery, obstetrics and orthopedics. This year Princeton celebrates 90 years of medical ministry.

How much does the movie cost?

What time does the movie actually start?

The movies are scheduled to begin at 7:00p.m. There will be a brief video presentation before each movie begins. On select evenings you will also hear a few words from our wonderful sponsors, whose support makes Sunset Cinema possible.

What are the movie ratings?

All movies are rated PG and PG- 13. PG - Parental guidance suggested. Some material may not be suitable for children. PG -13 Parents strongly cautioned. Some material may be inappropriate for children under 13.

Will food be available for purchase?

Absolutely! George's Boxcar Café will be open every Thursday evening until the conclusion of the movie. For more information on George's Boxcar Café please call 205-521-9945 or click here.

May I bring my own food to the Park?

You are welcome to bring your own food to the Park, but why bother when we have all of your movie favorites at George's Boxcar Cafe!

May I bring alcohol to the Park?

Outside alcohol is not allowed in the Park due to ABC Board restrictions. Those 21 and up may purchase wine, beer or specialty cocktails from George's Boxcar Cafe; these beverages may be enjoyed inside the Sunset Cinema event area. Park Rangers enforce the Park's alcohol rule.

Why are the movies on Thursday nights?

Sunset Cinema is on Thursday nights due to popular demand! The movie series was held on Thursday nights last year, and the Park received a great deal of positive feedback regarding having the movies on Thursdays. Additionally, Thursday nights have become a very popular night at the Park year-round.

May I bring my pet to Sunset Cinema?

You may bring your dog to the Park, provided your pet is well-behaved and on a leash at all times. All dog owners are required to pick up after their pet in the Park.

May I smoke in the Park?

Smoking is strictly prohibited inside Railroad Park. Thank you for not smoking!

Are there public restrooms?

Yes, Railroad Park has well-maintained public restrooms that Park patrons are welcome to use.

May I drop my children off at the movie?

Children under the age of 16 must be supervised by an adult at all times.

What does the Park provide in terms of security?

The Park has rangers on patrol 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Additionally, there are security cameras mounted inside the Park that are monitored both off-site and on-site.

Weather: Princeton Baptist Medical Center presents Sunset Cinema will be cancelled in the event of inclement weather. Please check our Facebook page and Calendar of Events for up to the minute updates.

Parking: Free parking is available along the outer perimeters of the Park along First Avenue South. Please refrain from parking in the spaces allotted for the various local businesses that operate along First Avenue South unless you are attending those venues. Violators may be subject to tickets or towing. Park patrons are free to use Parking Lot D located on 18th Street and First Avenue South at a cost of $2.00.
