Demolition and clearing on the site of the new park is complete and initial site work has begun. Site fencing is now in place and old brick and stone pavers are being harvested for reuse within the park. Rough grading will begin by this summer.
Railroad Park Foundation is committed to obtaining at least the Silver Level of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Certification. To obtain that certification, contractors will recycle existing park materials and architects will design the park to be energy efficient and environmentally conscious both in the park buildings and its landscape.
