- Once your information is received you will be contacted by a representative from Railroad Park within 2-3 business days.
- Once approved you will receive an invoice regarding your reservation.
- Please make money orders or checks payable to Railroad Park Foundation. Reservations are confirmed once full payment is received.

Reservations and Payments
- Reservations are on a first come, first served basis.
- Reservations are confirmed once full payment is received.
- Please make money orders and/or checks payable to the Railroad Park Foundation.
- All payments are final and may not be refunded. In the event of foul weather, your event may be rescheduled around existing scheduled events.
- Railroad Park Foundation is a non-profit entity and therefore cannot donate to other charitable organizations. All organizations and groups must conform to the "Schedule of Fees" for facility usage. Non-profit organizations will receive a 20% discount off of facility usage. A copy of the organization's 501c3 must accompany the Events Request Form.
Usage Information
- NO OPEN FLAME: Barbeque grills are not allowed in the Park.
- EVENT TIME FRAME: Reservations are for four-hour events. Additional charges may be associated with events that are longer than four hours.
- SET-UP: You will receive two hours to set-up for your event and an additional two hours to break down your event. For events where attendance is expected to be 1,000 or more you will receive four hours to set-up and two hours to breakdown.
- BREAKDOWN: All event equipment, tents, decorations, etc. must be removed no later than two hours after your scheduled activities end.
- ADDITIONAL SERVICE FEES:
- Events where attendance is expected to be 1,000 or higher will be charged an additional $300.00 per hour to provide additional security and janitorial services for your event.
- Events where attendance is expected to be 2,500 or more will be required to provide portable toilets through one of the park's approved vendors.
- Weddings and wedding receptions are assessed a surcharge of $350.00.
- VENDORS: All scheduled events and activities must use the Park's preferred vendors. This can range from but is not limited to portable restrooms, tents, chairs, audio/visual needs, staging etc.). Event Coordinators must also adhere to this rule.
- NON-COMPETE: Vending is strictly prohibited in the Park unless it is done through one of the Park's approved caterers or vendors.
- RAILROAD PARK STAFF: Railroad Park provides only the space for special events. Railroad Park recommends the use of a professional wedding or event coordinator for arrangements and direction of your event. The staff of Railroad Park is present to ensure your event is a success, but cannot coordinate or direct events.
- OFFICE SPACE: No office space or supplies will be provided to you or your organization during a scheduled event.
Decorations / Clean Up
- Set-up and dismantling of decorations, etc., is not to disrupt public use of Railroad Park.
- All decorations must be approved by the Events Coordinator. Decorations may not be affixed to any surface of Railroad Park, its grounds or facilities, with nails, staples, tacks, tape or other fasteners that may cause damage.
- Because of the problems and cost associated with clean-up, no rice, confetti, glitter, birdseed, etc. may be thrown on the grounds.
- The Events Coordinator must approve any use of candles, lanterns or torches. No open flame candles, sparklers or fireworks are allowed on the grounds due to Fire Marshall Regulations.
- Nothing may be placed in any of the water elements of the park.
- If any Park property, (i.e. landscaping, rental spaces, tables and chairs) are permanently damaged as a direct result from your event, you will be billed for the total cost of the repair.
Event Information
- The use of, or any reference to Railroad Park's name, logo, or image to promote, advertise, or sell tickets to an event is only allowed after full payment is received for the event in question. If full payment has not been received Railroad Park reserves the right to deny you or your organization the right to rent the facility for your event.
- Railroad Park is not responsible for providing event information or directions to event attendees. The telephone number for your organization/corporation should be included on all of your event literature and promotional materials.
- Media coverage of an event must be approved by Railroad Park in advance.
Event Logistics
- Parking is available along the perimeter of the park. If your event requires additional parking, please contact the Birmingham Parking Authority.
- Railroad Park accepts no responsibility for the delivery of any items or for the storage or safekeeping of any personal items left on the grounds or in any building or structure.
- All permits and licenses must be obtained no fewer than (14) fourteen days prior to your scheduled event.
Catering
- All alcoholic beverages must be supplied and served by a Railroad Park approved caterer. The client incurs all responsibility and liability for serving alcohol. All state and federal laws concerning the serving and consumption of alcohol will be strictly enforced. No one under the age of 21 will be served alcohol under any circumstance.
- Food and beverages may only be donated by Railroad Park caterers. Alcoholic beverages must be served by an approved Railroad Park caterer.
Conduct
- There will be no illegal drugs of any kind allowed in Railroad Park. No alcoholic beverages may be brought onto the property unless arranged through a Railroad Park approved caterer.
- Firearms, knives or weapons of any kind are not allowed on Railroad Park property at any time.
Note: Railroad Park reserves the right to refuse usage to any individual, organization or event. The usage of Railroad Park will not be denied based on reasons of race, sex, national origin or other illegal basis.
Railroad Park, grounds and the facilities located thereon are open to the public for its use and enjoyment. Railroad Park cannot therefore ensure the safety of any property left by any one on or about its grounds, property or in any facilities located thereon. The Railroad Park Foundation hereby states that it, its Directors, officers, agents or employees are not responsible for any losses due to theft, accident, fire or through any other act or circumstance for any items left on the premises of the Railroad Park, grounds or any facility located thereon by any person, company or corporation, whether for the use by any person, company or corporation, lessee of such facilities, invitee, guest or caterer of any person, company or corporation or other such person using or visiting or otherwise on the property, grounds or facilities of the Railroad Park. Should any person choose to leave any item of personal property on the grounds or property of this facility, it will be at their own risk should a loss occur.
